"Stay was the therapeutic, relaxing. All spas were perfect with friendly crowds, but one had a strong chlorine smell, the hottest one with self pushing jets. We avoided that one and entered all the other blissful spas. Pure ecstasy!
We enjoyed the hospitality of all staff and thought the restaurant was great. Especially the simple house salads, fresh crisp.
The drawbacks are the outdated hotel itself (popcorn ceilings, squeaky floor boards, etc.) If DHSSH had the ability to renovate it has the potential to be a great 4 or 5 star destination.
An extreme plus for us was the dog accessibility at this hotel. Though we we like to have a dog available pool within the spa area we understand why there is not. We lile the wonderful grassy park adjacent the spa and hope someday a dog friendly, gated park could accompany that area. Keep up the great work, we thoroughly enjoy visiting Desert Hot Springs Spa Hotel."
