"I loved Desert Hot Springs Spa. Yes, I have to agree with the other reviews on Yelp and such. It could you a little renovation. But the place is absolutely clean. The life guards and others clean out the debris quickly. The waters are heavenly, I could float for hours in hot, warm, and cool . Didn't try the cold except to the knees. Priscilla in the lounge gave us excellent advice - chicken wings - excellent; fish and chips (we are from Pacific Northwest) excellent. Erika was wonderful each morning at breakfast - the food fresh hot and inexpensive. The people in the spa were regular people - I did not feel burden by my white white skin or belly. Families of all colors. In the three days I was there I did not hear one cross word - everyone was smiling. Young people, older people, elderly people, children - what a wonderful mix -- none of those golden plastic people at all. Real people. Real Water. Really relaxing. My wife and I are trying to figure out how to make this part of a more regular routine."
Get in the pools around 8 am - get back in 11 - gets a little crowded in the late afternoon. But still wonderful. Two very hot pools - one with jets and the other jetless -- the jetless one often under populated.
